Yes, they are doing a database upgrade. From their front page:

Glad to hear it wasn't just me. This day has been pure hell. I actually had to...well...you know...=DO= stuff!

Now I can go back and have brain meltdown reading all the whiny posts from other guys like me.

Though I just tried and it was still giving me the boot.

Interesting, for two January's in a row HA was down for a database upgrade....wonder if we have some new members to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Or this place is on the rise and them on the decline.

But since ive never been there, unless it was linked in from here i have no clue if its evil or not.

Venue to many a famed talent such as Springsteen, Renaissance, et al, it was the happening place for happening people until they bulldozed it a couple of years ago to make way for the Washington Square condos.

In reminiscing about the old Stone Balloon (Which has been memorialized in a fine, hard-cover book), one fellow I know said that he entered the club one night and the floor was so sticky that his shoe stuck to the goo and was lost forever.

Hung Angles is the kind of club where you might have fun, but you are almost guaranteed to lose a shoe.
